“The Outsiders Afterschool Program, presented by Leaves to Leaders, is a hands-on STEM-focused initiative designed to help children think outside the box. Through engaging problem-solving activities and innovative learning experiences, participants develop critical thinking, creativity, and real-world skills.

In addition to our afterschool and summer camp programs, we host birthday celebrations for participants and seasonal community events that strengthen connection and support. Our program is active, engaging, and centered on growth—creating a space where children learn, explore, and thrive.

“My name is Shardé Beatty, and I am the President and Founder of Leaves to Leaders, a nonprofit organization established in 2019. Our mission is to foster self-sustainability within our community—especially among youth—by combining horticulture, STEM education, and life skills through our Mind Developing Demonstrations.

We proudly partner with afterschool programs, domestic violence shelters, homeless outreach initiatives, and community organizations to create lasting impact. As we prepare for our upcoming holiday donation events, including support for the Christmas season, we are grateful to collaborate with the United States Postal Service to distribute new and gently used clothing and household items to families in need.

To ensure these donations are organized, stored, and distributed efficiently, we are seeking support in the form of storage bins, contractor-strength bags, monetary donations, and other essential supplies. These resources allow us to safely manage inventory and serve individuals and families affected by hardship, natural disasters, and vulnerable circumstances.
